April 23, 2011 EASTER CAMPAIGN

Posted on April 23, 2011 at 4:14 pm by Brenda Matthews

I’m getting this note off late as we’re already halfway through the Easter campaign, but I’d like to ask your prayers for this evangelistic campaign.  A young evangelist from Lima is giving powerful messages each evening and Sunday will speak in the three services.  Tonight a new believer (possibly with her husband) and two unbelievers will be going with me.  Please pray for the salvation of Johnny and Esther.  Johnny used to come to the small group Bible study that met here, but he and his family moved to another area of the city last month.  He seemed to me to be very close to making a decision to follow Christ, so please pray for spiritual understanding and a regenerated heart for him and for Esther.  Their newborn baby will be coming as well.

Easter is always the highlight of the year because of its significance.  As I Corinthians 15 points out, if Christ hadn’t risen from the dead, we would be lost in our sins without the hope of a resurrection and our faith would be in vain.  Praise God that Jesus voluntarily gave His life as a ransom for our lives and that He did indeed rise again on the third day victorious over sin, death and Satan!

HAPPY EASTER!
