Thanks to all of you who prayed for Celebration Sunday and/or sent donations. It was a huge success! The church was filled and overflowing with people on the street wanting to know what was going on inside. The auditorium was transformed after the morning service and the program ran smoothly. Over 20 people indicated making a commitment to Christ when the opportunity was given and there seems to be a new enthusiasm and desire to serve the Lord.
December 13-15 I’ll be with the four pastors of the church on a retreat to evaluate 2010 and plan for 2011. The list of things to do is long, so please pray that the time will be used wisely. One of the items is to present the plan for the new church plant. At this point, I am the only one on the team, so the obvious prayer request is that the Lord bring the team together, especially providing a strong leader with a clear vision.
After the emotional high of Celebration Sunday, I’ve been struggling health wise with allergies and exhaustion and then tonight learned that the two couples who were the leaders of the adolescent and youth ministries will no longer be able to serve in the ministry due to health and work issues. Not good news. This Saturday is our Christmas party and last meeting of the year. Please pray for the Lord to give guidance as to how to restructure the youth ministry.
