I am SO grateful for your prayers! June 8th I presented my documentation and had an interview at the Mexican Consulate in Toronto. I paid and left my passport, returning June 10th to pick up my passport with the Mexican visa stamped in it! This just allows me one entry into Mexico. To complete the process, once in La Paz, I have to go to the Immigration Office and they determine the length of the visa (1 to 4 years) and issue my Temporary Resident Card. Please pray that they grant a 4-year visa. (It can be renewed.)
That evening we had our closing Ladies’ Life Group meeting (the fun photo). Unfortunately the same two ladies were missing both evenings that I took photos, but since the beginning of the year, we enjoyed studying The Person of Jesus together. We were challenged and encouraged through the Word of God to be more compassionate like Jesus, and I will miss these dear sisters.
My departure date is set for July 23rd. In the remaining time, please pray:
* for safety travelling
* for wisdom as I pack for storage in ON and for La Paz
* for good closure to this Home Assignment
* for the remaining vehicle funds to come in
* to be an inspiration sharing with churches, family and friends
Here is some of the natural beauty that I saw in Baja California Sur. I am excited about going to La Paz to share about our beautiful Saviour. More about that next month.
