July 27, 2017 VBS and Baptisms

Greetings from hot, muggy La Paz, Mexico!

In my last report, I let you know that we were holding a VBS.  That happened last week and I want to thank you for your prayers.

Remember the marriage conference back in February and the offer of a community church wedding?

In my last letter, I neglected to mention that this Sunday we’ll be celebrating more baptisms.  Bernardo and Ana Rita will be baptized along with two youths, Cony and Xitlali, and possibly some others.  Please pray that each of them will faithfully follow and serve our Lord.

On another note, please pray for the country of Venezuela and especially for the believers.  Insecurity and food shortages are rampant and the tensions are high.  Pray that the difficulties will cause people to turn to God and that the believers remain strong in their faith and share their hope in the Lord.  Please pray for God to intervene and for His name to be glorified.

Thanks for praying!

Brenda
