Somehow the month of March slipped by with no report and we’ve already started planning for the April 27th evangelistic event.

In January we started the Piura Norte virtual prayer group. This photo shows the core group. Attendance varies, but we’ve had up to 9.
Attendance varies at the two small groups, mostly due to schedule changes at work or university. The El Chipe group has 4-7 people and the Miraflores group has 4-8. Recently a few more believers have committed to Piura Norte, so we may try to open another small group at a time convenient for those who can’t attend Tuesday or Thursday evenings.
The March link includes photos from the two meetings with Omar, one of the pastors from Benavides who is my direct contact. It was a very special time as he gave training on preparing our salvation testimonies and then taking turns sharing our testimonies.
The March link also includes photos from two of the meetings we’ve had so far preparing for our next evangelistic meeting to be held April 27th. Please pray as we start inviting unsaved guests. We hope to double the attendance. Please also pray for the Easter outreach of the Grau church. Thursday to Sunday an evangelistic drama will be presented with Pastor Roberto Bastante speaking as well. Please pray for many conversions at both events.
May and June will be intense months with training planned for each weekend and then in July a large group of over 40 adolescents and their leaders will be coming to support Grau and Piura Norte. This week the Lord opened the doors in a wonderful way to a key school in the Piura Norte area. Please pray as I work on the schedule with them.
With all this activity, the need to pray for a pastor for Piura Norte is more apparent. Please pray that the right man is chosen and that the Lord confirms his call. Please also pray as we look at locales so that the right one will be selected.
Prayer for safety is always appreciated. A woman was robbed in front of the home where we had the training as we were finishing, but the topic of interest has been the 5.0 tremor we felt a couple nights ago.
