Church office

Here I am working at the church office (not really an office!).  Besides the spectacular view with the bay in the background, does anything else catch your attention?  Hint – long sleeves and scarf.  That’s new!  After months of profuse sweating, I was totally taken by surprise as the climate cooled off — but no complaints.  I’ve enjoyed a couple of months of cool weather and now it’s warming up again, but still comfortable.

We’re doing a new study at the ladies’ meeting.  I get Ladies' Group January 5 La Paz 2016 crop scale 10to teach it on occasion, but my new endeavour is teaching and/or reviewing the memory verse each week.  My challenge is to use a new method each week to give them ideas of how to do it in other settings like Sunday School.

I was asked to plan the Ladies’ Retreat which will be held April 9th.  Please pray for me as I work on the logistics, schedule and messages.  I think the theme will be “Content and Joyful” and that we’ll hold it at the Ranch.

At El Faro, the church plant, I’ve started working on the visuals for the service and soon I’ll start recording the messages and uploading them to the church’s Facebook page.  I’m also about to start working on that page, but since it’s all new to me, I don’t even know how to direct you there.  I’m sure all you Facebook users will be able to find it if you’d like to check it out.  Otherwise, you’ll have to wait for a new letter.  Please pray for me as I’m learning lots of new skills and that I will be able to carry out all these tasks to the glory of God.

This Thursday I’m hoping and praying that a new church cell group will begin here at my apt.  Thanks for praying for the people I listed in my last letter.  My emotions run from nervous to excited because maybe no one will come or maybe a big group will come or maybe something in between.  Only God knows, so please pray that He will direct those He wants in the group to come and please pray for me as I prepare for it.  I’m grateful that the cracked window was 00000000000000000000 Baja collage assembly24replaced with a new window before starting the group.

Another new experience was our TEAM Mexico Annual Conference held in January at a Youth For Christ camp north of Guadalajara.  It was great to meet the rest of my TEAM Mexico colleagues, to be under the teaching of the Word, and to get to know another part of Mexico.  The fellowship was excellent in all its facets – including the business meeting at the Hot Springs Spa.

While there, I was able to take pictures of AC Guadalajara 2016 065 scale 10new birds.  It will take a while to organize them, but there are new photos links in new categories on the website.  The link should be at the beginning and end of my letters because I strongly encourage you to read the letters there.  I can’t control what the formatting looks like in the email.  Remember when I mentioned that I led the games when we did the Christmas program at the orphanage?  That led to leading games at Dulce’s baby shower.  All Valentine´sthose photos are in El Faro’s Ladies’ Group. And that led to leading games at El Faro’s Valentine’s celebration – with the kids until their program began and then with the adults to begin their program.  I suspect that I’m going to have to come up with a  lot of new games!  Please pray for the unsaved who attend these evangelistic events.

Serving joyfully in all these new beginnings,

Brenda
