Dear Praying Friends and Family,

So much has happened since I last wrote!  I have had the joy of visiting with many former colleagues from TEAM-Venezuela, of speaking in several churches, of meeting new friends and new supporters (!), of doing and seeing new things, of re-connecting with friends I haven’t seen for decades, and I’m grateful for each and every one of these experiences.  It’s been fun getting caught up with old friends and getting to know new ones.  I am so grateful to God for each of you and for the way He has supplied my needs through you.  Thanks to each one who gave me a place to sleep, who shared meals with me, who put gas in the car, who arranged for me to speak at their church, who arranged meetings and to those who came to them, who exercised with me, who provided rest and relaxation, who introduced me to their family, who shared with me and who listened to me and prayed for me.  I have truly been blessed.

I have been greatly encouraged by those who have shown so much interest in what God has been doing in Venezuela and in the new ministry opportunities ahead in Peru.  I would love to visit each of you, but it’s impossible to do that, so I’ve been on the phone a lot as well.  If you’re in Canada or the US and I haven’t called yet and you’d like a call, send me an e-mail with your phone number.  If you’re in Southern Ontario and I haven’t visited you yet but you’d like a visit, let me know.  My contact info is below.  A visit would have to be soon because I return the lease vehicle the week of November 15th.

The goal is still to be leaving by the end of November, but I just received word from TEAM this week that I won’t be able to leave until my full support is in, even if it means losing the visa to Peru.  One of the reasons is that it now appears possible to get the visa changed from tourist to resident after arriving in the country and another is that I can’t leave Peru for six months after arriving without losing the visa.

In the five months that I’ve been home, half of the necessary financial support has been pledged.  If I am to leave in November, the rest needs to come in quickly.  If you feel the Lord is leading you to begin sending financial support or to increase what you are giving, please let me know as well as notifying TEAM.  If you’d like information about pre-authorized payments, I can send you the form and TEAM will send you the tax deductible receipts.  This is a huge need and prayer request, but I am fully confident that the Lord will supply this need in His perfect timing.

Today my home church celebrated its 185th anniversary.  I’m looking forward to the beginning of anniversary celebrations in the church plant in Piura, Peru.  Thanks for your participation in this new outreach.

Grateful to God for His abundant goodness,

Brenda
